As so he watched me, as I watched him; both of us in our respective places in this twisted dance. He wasn’t to keep his eyes on me, and he was careful only to glance my way when we both knew no one else was watching. I didn’t care who saw me stare, everyone already knew his name alone made me shiver. They all used it to their advantage, for if nothing else that made me more than willing to spend months here, even if we only got to glance towards each other once.

Dance with me, even if only for a brief moment of our already too short lives. Whisper to me, even if only a single word; let it be my name, let it roll naturally off your lips. I’d bet you anything it’d be the greatest sound I’ve ever heard, even better than the voice of the Pegasus in my dreams. I’d also bet you anything that you would sound exactly like him, only real; adding the feeling of your warm breath against my neck. I’d bet you anything.
